Discover a Dreamy City of Stockholm

Stockholm is Sweden’s capital and one of the world’s best capitals. It is well-known for beautiful nature and fascinating tourist attractions.

1.Vasa Museum derived its name from a Swedish ancient vessel Vasa, built-in wood during 1626-1628. The vessel was initially an aim to celebrate Sweden’s authority. Unfortunately, the vessel sank after sailing for only 1.3 kilometers. It was reconstructed and served as a museum after being rescued in 1961.

2.Drottningholm Palace is located on Lovön island. Constructed in the early 1600s, this well-preserved palace was registered as the World’s Heritage by UNESCO in 1991. See stunning interior design of the palace decorated with various art pieces and luxury furniture. Visit the Chinese Salon, a Chinese-style chamber full of Chinese instruments and furniture. Make sure to take some photos of the palace’s beautiful garden.

3. Stadsbiblioteket is known as the most beautiful library, built-in round shape. This almost 100-year-old library houses around 500,000 books in different languages. Some of them ages over 200 years. The books are arranged in cylindrical walls, divided into zones, including children books.

4. Skansen is the world’s first open-air museum. It displays renovated residence and buildings in different eras and towns, scattered on a large area. The museum separates into many zones, including a small Scandinavian zoo.

5.Skokloster Castle is a Swedish castle constructed during 1654-1676 by Carl Gustaf Wrangel. It is located on Mälaren Lake between Stockholm and Uppsala. In 1970, it had become a state’s museum that displays a collection of paintings, fabric furniture, cutlery, books and weapons.

6. Norrmalm is a busy downtown with various stores ranging from clothing to furniture. It runs across Drottninggatan and the surrounding roads. It is the cultural center where you can watch opera and ballet performances at the Royal Swedish Opera and modern dance at Kulturhuset theater.

7.Katarina is a church located in Hogbergsgatan, southeastern of Gamla Stan on Sodermalm Island. It is accessible by underground trains. The church, opens daily with free entry, was constructed in Baroque style in the late 17th century. Significant elements include, bright yellow wall at the front of the church, prominent dome hall and bell tower decorated with a golden cross.
