AXA Thailand dominates city billboards, launches new campaign targeting Thai travellers, enhancing travel insurance plans for booming 2024 tourism market

AXA Thailand General Insurance is making significant strides in the international travel insurance market, responding to the more than 10% growth in Thai tourism in the first half of 2024. The company is implementing a continuous Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising strategy to enhance brand awareness for its Smart Traveller Plus plan, which provides comprehensive and tailored coverage for all types of travellers. This approach reinforces AXA's image as a global insurance leader, ensuring travellers can embark on any journey with peace of mind.

The overall tourism outlook for 2024 indicates a 5-10% increase in Thai travellers going abroad, with a 20% surge during the New Year period compared to the same period last year. Japan remains the top destination for Thai tourists, with 1.2-1.5 million travellers, both independent (FIT) and group tours, according to the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA).

As a global insurance leader, AXA is advancing its brand awareness strategy to enhance customer engagement and communication, while expanding its customer base. Under the strategic implementation of Out-of-Home advertisement, the new Travel Insurance advertisement campaign, with the concept ‘Carry Peace of Mind with You... with AXA's International Travel Insurance,’ aims to help travellers fully enjoy their trips by offering protection not only for life but also for property and travel itineraries.
