AXA Insurance Hosts Online Discussion to SuggestTips for Taking Care of Physical and Mental Health to Mark World Mental Health Day

At the occasion of the World Mental Health Day on October 10, AXA Thailand General Insurance hosted an advocacy event as a reminder for all of the importance to take into account mental issues, and to increase the collective effort to lend support to those who find themselves in difficult situations. The online event gathered Ms. Keeratiya (June) Chantarat, a respected athlete from the Thai Body Building National Team and Ms. Pathummas (Ae) Jadjang, co-founder of “Wing Hai Jeb Jai” Facebook Page. Both shared their personal stories on stress, depression and anxiety. Dr. Nattaphon Pipathadorn, psychologist at iStrong, Mental Health Counseling Service, also joined AXA’s livestream session to give an inspiring talk on dealing with fears and pressures.

During these difficult times, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic, many lives are disrupted, while individuals and families are faced with a lot of pressure. Mental health is a topic that has to be discussed openly at home, with friends or in the workplace.

In his welcome address in Bangkok, Mr. Claude Seigne, Chief Executive Officer, AXA Thailand GI, reiterated that mental health is a priority of the company not just in Thailand, but worldwide. “By supporting this cause in Thailand and in other countries, AXA aims to make a difference. We will continue to bring support to those who need it most. Together as partners, AXA and LFC embrace the importance of resilience and mental well-being – in a spirit and attitude which will take us to the top.”

“This year has been filled with challenges, with many lives being impacted considerably,” shared Ms. Sureerat Moleechart, AXA Thailand Chief Marketing Officer, during the AXA Thailand Mental Health event. “To stay grounded, we can practice self-discipline to find inner balance, or participate in sports and other outdoor activities with others. With the effects of COVID-19, we can do more as a community to help each other stay healthy, both physically and mentally. More than ever, it is important to raise mental health awareness so that we can keep our minds fit and strong for a better quality of life.”
