Easy Way to Grow Organic Vegetables Using Plastic Bottles at Home

Easy Way to Grow Organic Vegetables Using Plastic Bottles at Home

Today we’re showing you some tips on how to grow vegetables on your own garden, which only requires you a small space that sunlight can peep through. This is how you get organic vegetables while saving your pocket.

1. Get cleansed plastic bottles and cut them vertically or horizontally. For vertical cut, cut your bottles into two halves. The bottom half should be higher to be used as a pot. Then, make 2-3 holes at the bottom for draining. For horizontal cut, this cut requires 6-liter bottles. Place your bottles in a horizontal way and cut a rectangular shape along the side. Make 4-6 holes at the bottom for draining. This type of pot can be placed on the floor or hung on the walls.

2. Choose fast-growing vegetables, including basil, bird’s eye chils, kale, bitter melon, eggplant, and salad vegetables like green oak lettuce, red oak lettuce, cos lettuce, Filey iceberg lettuce, butterhead lettuce, and Batavia lettuce. You can either buy the seeds or collect from your daily meals, but make sure you clean and dry them first. Store your seeds in closed container in the fridge. Soak them in water overnight before planting.

3. Plant your seeds with loose soil mixed with ground coconut shell, black husk, soil mixed with raintree leaves, and vermicompost. You can be sure that your vegetables are truly organic and healthy.

4. Make sure to water your plants while considering their exposure to sunlight for a certain period. This will affect your plant's growth.

5. Do research on your plants. Each plant needs a different amount of water. Pay attention to the need of water, the proper number of draining holes, and the soil. Then, you’ll be mastered at planting.

By doing this, you will get various organic vegetables, fresh to be served with many dishes to come.
