AXA Insurance Reiterates Commitment to Society for 10th Corporate Responsibility Week 2020

Every year, AXA Group hosts Corporate Responsibility Week, a global event where management and staff unite to contribute their time and resources to help local charities and causes that are close to their heart. 

CR Week 2020 for AXA Thailand General Insurance focused on protecting the environment, promoting mental and physical well-being and providing financial assistance to a local hospital and the less fortunate. With the participation and cooperation of all employees, including top executives, AXA Thailand’s Bangkok office organized two separate events that highlighted responsibility and caring at the core of the corporate culture.

Mangrove replanting: caring for the environment  

Mangroves are incredibly important ecosystems that are essential to preserving life. They protect the coastlines, provide homes to thousands of species and help preserve biodiversity.

AXA Thailand organized the replanting of 300 mangrove saplings in Samut Prakan to ensure that the mangroves continue to exist. They also nourish and provide income for members of various local communities.

In addition, AXA Thailand also awarded scholarships and hosted a meal for students from Migrant Children Learning Centers, Raks Thai Foundation. This is AXA’s way of contributing to society and supporting causes that align with its core values.

Sports challenge: promoting physical and mental well-being

A friendly charity run was the perfect way to support AXA’s global commitment to increase awareness on the importance of mental health and physical well-being. On a worldwide level, the sports challenge proved to be a great success, with the participation of over 9,000 individuals from 41 countries!   

Here in Thailand, top management and staff employees got together for the AXA fun run which was held at Thepasadin Stadium in downtown Bangkok. It was an incredibly energetic and fun-filled sports event that brought out camaraderie among co-workers, encouraged work-life balance through sports, and highlighted the importance of positive mental health.

Thammasat University Hospital donation : community outreach  

In line with AXA’s global sports challenge was held by AXA Thailand to raise money for the Thammasat University Hospital. For AXA and its employees, it is a show of support for the respected medical institution and its medical personnel, so they can perform their duties with full capability especially through the most challenging times.  

These activities were carefully selected for their ability to engage the staff, and to make a meaningful impact on the communities they are all part of.
