AXA Thailand General Insurance Reaches New Heights with Financial Success
At the occasion of the “AXA Awards 2023”, an honorary award ceremony for its insurance agents and brokers which took place at The Athenee hotel in Bangkok, Mr. Claude Seigne, Chief Executive Officer, AXA Thailand General Insurance, and Mrs. Hatainan Kiatfuengfoo, Chief Distribution Officer, announced the company’s impressive financial results for the year 2022. The Gross Written Premium exceeded 5 billion baht, a 19.5% increase compared to 2021 and the company’s profit for the year stood at 220 million baht, compared to 128 million baht in 2021.
During his address, Mr. Seigne highlighted that the company is witnessing and benefitting from a flight to quality of customers and distributors concerned by financial security during uncertain economic times. He also mentioned that the ceremony was held to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary of AXA presence in Thailand, although its roots can be traced back to 1941.
Mr. Seigne announced that AXA Thailand is targeting a premium between 5.6 and 6.0 Billion baht in 2023, which is expected to be boosted especially by the high demand for Health Business. The company is also looking to expand its customer base and upgrade the coverage of its products while strengthening its customer unit. To meet its customers AXA will be present this year again as the insurance sponsor of the Bangkok Festival of Dance and Music and of the Motor Expo later in December.
The ceremony was an impressive display of the company’s success and plans for the future, leaving many hopeful that AXA Thailand will continue to remain a leader in its industry.
