We are looking for an experienced Marine Underwriting / Marketing Officer to manage underwriting and business development activities for Marine Insurance. The role involves risk assessment, quotation issuance, portfolio monitoring, and close coordination with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure service excellence and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite marine risks within assigned authority limits.
- Prepare quotations for new and renewal Marine business.
- Coordinate and negotiate with Reinsurance for special risk acceptance.
- Monitor underwriting results and adjust terms and conditions for new and renewal policies.
- Follow up renewal policies with clients and business partners.
- Provide product training and support information to clients/partners to support business development.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and group standards, including AML/CTPF and Sanctions requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Insurance, Business Administration, Logistics, Marine Transportation, or related fields.
- 2–5 years of experience in Marine Insurance underwriting or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Marine Cargo, Inland Transit, and Carrier’s Liability.
- Able to work under pressure with an energetic, proactive, and initiative mindset.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Good command of English in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
