We are seeking a IT Portfolio Delivery Manager to managing and delivering the organization’s IT project portfolio by ensuring the effective planning, prioritization, resource capacity, and execution of multiple concurrent initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT Portfolio Delivery: Oversee and coordinate the delivery of multiple IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with agreed priorities, timelines, scope, and budgets.
- Portfolio Planning & Prioritization: Support portfolio planning activities by working with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize initiatives based on business value, resource capacity, and risk.
- Delivery Governance & Reporting: Establish and maintain portfolio-level governance, including progress tracking, risk and issue management, and regular status reporting to management.
- Project Performance Monitoring: Monitor project delivery performance, identify delivery risks or dependencies, and work with project managers to implement corrective actions where required.
- Resource Coordination & Capacity Management: Coordinate IT delivery resources across projects to optimize utilization, resolve resource conflicts, and support effective workload management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure clear communication, aligned expectations, and successful delivery outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in portfolio delivery processes, tools, and ways of working by capturing lessons learned and promoting best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MS in IT Management) can be advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior or lead role overseeing IT project portfolios, programs, or multiple workstreams.
- Proven experience in IT portfolio planning, prioritization, including progress tracking, risk and issue management, and management reporting.
- Insurance industry is preferred, not mandatory.
- Experience in resource coordination and capacity management, balancing workloads across project teams and resolving delivery conflicts.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors, with the ability to manage expectations and delivery dependencies.
- Fluent in English.
