Group insurance is a type of insurance policy that provides coverage for a specific group of people under a single contract. It is commonly used by companies and organisations, where the employer pays the insurance premiums and manages the coverage benefits for their employees. Group insurance is often offered as part of employee welfare programs, helping to reduce turnover rates and attract talented professionals to the organization. Coverage under a group insurance plan may vary depending on the terms and conditions, but it generally includes medical expenses resulting from illness, accidents, and death.

Smart Health for SMEs group insurance offers a total of four insurance plans, providing you with the flexibility to customise plans within the same policy. You can choose different plans for employees, supervisors, and executives. However, employees in the same position must select the same plan.

The company will not pay benefits under this insurance policy for chronic diseases, pre-existing conditions, injuries, or illnesses (including complications) that were not cured before the policy's effective date.

You can apply for the group health insurance plan for SMEs for your employees if you have at least 5 full-time employees aged 18-65 on the policy's effective date. However, if you have between 5 and 20 employees, all employees must also complete an insurance application and answer health questions.

Yes, you can receive medical treatment with cashless claims at AXA's network of contracted hospitals for both inpatient (IPD) and outpatient (OPD) services. Simply present your ID card along with your AXA Healthcare card to verify your coverage before receiving treatment.

You can purchase additional policies for the spouses and children of employees. Family members (spouses and children) must join a policy with a plan that is equal to or lower than the employee's plan, with the following conditions:

1. Legitimate spouse eligible age from 18 – 65 years old

2. Child eligible age from 15 days old up to 18 years old, could be extended up to 23 years old if they are still full-time students and not married.
